Transport Workers Union Local 100 official Tony Aiken last week claimed he wasn’t a sexual harasser, as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority found him to be in April, but simply an aggressive union representative, even as political opponents of Local 100 President John Samuelsen filed charges demanding that the union drop him from its payroll.

Mr. Aiken, a Bus Operator at Kingsbridge Depot and elected Local 100 Division Vice Chair, was transferred out of the depot in December after a supervisor, Tulani Melendez, accused him of sexually harassing her and defying her orders because she is a woman. Shortly after, the local hired him full-time.
