US Airways Group CEO Doug Parker expects American Airlines will be the dominant carrier in the industry once the two airlines merge, according to media reports.Parker will become CEO of the combined company. American Airlines filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November 2011. Since then, the company has been working to remain a viable airline by restructuring its operations.Both airlines currently operate out of San Antonio International Airport.
